BRIEF HISTORY OF THE MEDICAL LIBRARY
- ELOML started operations as a library in1966/67 session
- The first Medical Librarian was appointed in the 1966/67 session
- It is named after the first African Neurosurgeon and Dean Faculty of Medicine
- Was made a National Focal Point (NFP) for Nigeria National Medical Library of Nigeria (NMLN) by the World Health Organization (WHO) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH)
- The oldest and the most extensive Hospital-based Medical Library in Nigeria
